3 Skincare Routine Hacks for the Start of 2019

We’re well into 2019.. How have your skincare goals been shaping up?

For some men, skincare is already embedded into their daily routine. They spend some of their time and money finding out what’s right for them and then stick to it.

For others, you want to take care of your skin, but just don’t know where to start. “I put beard balm on for special occasions.” “I wear sunscreen only at the beach.” “I just end up using whatever my partner does.”

Here are 3 easy steps to make skincare a part of your routine:

  1. Put your products exactly where you will need them, and when you will need them. This means on your bathroom shelf if you put your Man Oil or other products after brushing teeth, or next to your coat if you do it right before rushing out the door. Making the products visible will make you more likely to use them. 
  2. Buy products you enjoy using. If the texture, smell, or application method isn’t working for you, choose a different set of products for your routine. Skincare can be a very sensory experience, and it’s helpful to think about it that way so you enjoy the process. Plus, you’re way more likely to keep up a habit that way.
  3. Remember why it’s important. Even those born with naturally beautiful skin and genes still need some help now and then. Skin is your body’s largest organ, and it protects you from sun damage, pollution, and other environmental factors. It’s pretty invincible but stress, fatigue, and crazy lifestyles can take a toll on it and your health. Why not show it a little extra love and feel good about yourself too?
